On Fri 22 July Cherubim awardeeAnnabel Cullington-Doss performed the solo in Saint-Saëns’s Danse Macabre faultlessly with the Southampton Youth Orchestra at Thornden Hall, Chandlers Ford, conducted by Kevin Withell. She made her debut seem effortless as a concert soloist with a symphont orchestra; and thereafter led the viola section in Shostakovich’s Fifth Symphony. A splendid achievement.
