Cello – German 19thC ‘Myers’ with bow

The maker of this 19thC German cello is unknown. It was brought to this country by xx Myers, a Jewish refugee who was a professional journalist, but also keen amateur cellist who played it all his life. It has good projection and is perfectly robust, tho the body shows some signs of its travels,
It was brought to this country by Geoff Myers, an RAF Pilot Officer in WW2, and later a Daily Telegraph Foreign Correspondent, who was a keen amateur cellist all his life. This cello is offered with a bow on behalf of Mary Myers.
