Starting the week with a new awardee! We are pleased to introduce Sebastian Young, the recipient of our Chanot ‘Hopkins’ Violin. Sebastian is a senior music scholar at King’s Bruton where he specialises in violin, trombone and vocal performance. As well as solo work, Sebastian rehearses and performs in 10 music ensembles at school and performs up to 20 concerts per year.
Sebastian is principal violinist for 2024 for the Magdalen Farm Strings and has performed with ECSOC and the South Somerset Youth Orchestra. He hopes to go on to study music at university level.
