Welcome to our new awardee Hugo Svensson

Hugo is loaning the WH Lee, Chicago 'Rothermere' viola and R. Zucolotto bow. He joins us as a BA Music student at Royal College of Music where he is studying a broad range of musical subjects including Chamber Music, Orchestra, Chorus, Historical Studies, courses in Healthy musician, Music Leadership, Professional musician, Musicianship and Improvisation, Applied Aural skills alongside his specialisms in viola studies and conducting.

Hailing from Lund in Sweden, he already has a prestigious list of accomplishments performing in orchestras and as a soloist at events in Malmö, Lund and Stockholm and since arriving in London in 2022 he is now regularly performing in the UK.


In his first week as a Cherubim Musician we are thrilled to hear that he has just been awarded an Anders Sandrews Foundation scholarship grant for young people in further education showing particular promise in their field of the arts.

We welcome Hugo to Cherubim, congratulate him on his achievements this week and very much look forward to seeing his progression in the coming years.
