Petition to fund music in state schools

In a recent House of Lords debate about the withering British arts scene Lord (Melvin) Bragg pointed out the value of the arts to the British economy and its subsequent lack of funding. The Cherubim Music Trust has created a petition to fund music at state schools to the level provided in private schools - fund the 93% the same as the 7%.

The petition needs to have 100,000 signatures before it can be debated in parliament, and at least 10,000 signatures for a response. We would be grateful if you could share the petition amongst your network to get this vital subject into the public domain.
