50 instruments in Cherubim's collection

Last week Cherubim added its 50th instrument to our collection. It is a Moya violin by Peter Caunce, who used it all his professional life in the RLPO.

That means after 23 years we currently have, owned by us or loaned to us: 3 bassoons, 8 cellos, 3 clarinets, cor anglais, double bass, 5 flutes, french horn, 3 concert harps, marimba, oboe, 2 pianos, baritone sax, tuba, vibraphone, 4 violas, 6 violins … and a partridge in a pear tree.

At this point 40 are on loan, and Arturo Serna our Deputy Director (Instruments & Outreach) is preparing a publicity drive to find awardees for the remainder that came in over the summer.
