Rebekah-Li Ting Choi is a 20 year old Chinese-English violist from Battle, East Sussex. Rebekah started her musical journey aged six, playing the violin and guitar. Discovering the viola at the age of 11, she excelled with the instrument, and has been invited to play in many ensembles including the East Sussex Youth Orchestra (ESYO). She toured with the ESYO, playing in Estonia and Finland, as well as around the UK. She has also worked with new composers from London and Wales and recorded an album in 2021.
Rebekah performs regularly in the Cardiff Chamber Orchestra and is also a member of the Ilex String Quartet, performing at weddings and concerts throughout England and Wales. Alongside performing, Rebekah is also an administrator for Cardiff Chamber Orchestra.
Studies
Rebekah has been studying for her BMus (Hons) in Music Performance after receiving a scholarship to study at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. She studies with violist Dorothea Vogel.
