Double Bass: Hungarian-Romanian 2024, with Realist pick-up, CF bow & case ¾ size

Currently studying music at Southampton University, Genevieve Namazzi has been on a journey to discover her musical heart ground as a multi-instrumentalist playing and achieving exam successes in Bass (Upright/Electric), Viola, Violin and Piano across venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, London Palladium, London Stadium, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, KKL Lucerne, and Berlin Konzerthaus with the likes of Robbie Williams, Clean Bandit, Chineke! Orchestra and DON BROCO. Genevieve has played live on TV for Soccer Aid 2022, Blue Peter 2020 and Britain’s got Talent 2020 alongside Chineke! Junior Orchestra and for BBC Solent Radio in 2023.

Through her studies under the tutorage of Jasper Høiby and by attending Jazz festivals, watching and playing at jams and gigs and forming groups of her own, she has been inspired and encouraged by lecturers, colleagues and friends to extend her versatility as a jazz musician and is now focusing on the double bass. As the recipient of the new Cherubim ‘Raymond Jack’ German-Romanian 2024 ¾ double bass she hopes to start preparations for October 24 auditions to study Jazz Performance at Post-Graduate level.
