Emily Ambrose

Bassoon – Fox

Emily is a Leverhulme Arts Scholar in her first year at the Royal College of Music, studying with Emily Hultmark and Joost Bosdijk.
Initially taught by Catherine Millar at Berkshire Maestros, Emily subsequently joined the Junior Department of the Royal Academy of Music to study with Jo Baillie-Stark. She was a member of The National Children’s Orchestra between the ages of eight and thirteen then played with the National Youth Orchestra for three years.
Emily is currently enjoying the many musical opportunities available both at RCM and around London. Although orchestral playing is her main interest, Emily also enjoys giving solo recitals and hopes to introduce as many people as possible to seldom-heard bassoon repertoire.
Emily has been playing Cherubim’s Fox 201D bassoon since 2019.
