Grace Callaghan

Flute - Powell Conservatory

Grace Callaghan is a recent graduate from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, completing both her Undergraduate and Master's degree during her time there.

Grace has a broad horizon of musical interests and techniques which has already led to her being much in demand; playing with the college big band with Markus Stockhausen, featuring at the London Jazz Festival, and frequently recording with the Northern Film Orchestra.
Grace has also appeared with the Ignition Orchestra on BBC Three’s ‘The Rap Game’, The Manchester Video Game Orchestra and Piccadilly Symphony Orchestra.

Grace is part of an innovative flute quartet, Dolce Flutes. The quartet perform a wide range of material, both familiar and challenging, ranging from Grieg to Granger, and also use current music technology, for example employing looping pedals, which has been enthusiastically received.

When not performing, Grace spends her time teaching woodwind instruments, and is passionate about passing her love of music onto future generations.
