Harp – L&H 100 - 'Lady Lucille Wallace Curzon'

Donated in 2020 in memory of Lady Lucille Wallace Curzon by her adopted sons, the instrument honours the reputation of the harpsichordist Lucille Wallace who performed on the opening day of the BBC Third Programme.

The Stye 100 was introduced in 1964 to celebrate the Chicago manufacturer Lyon & Healy’s 100th anniversary, the Style 100 is made in Chicago. It is a 47 string model of 1.87m, featuring a graceful tapered maple column with scalloped fluting; and is regarded as one of the premier orchestral harps.
