We are thrilled to introduce our new Marimba awardee, Alec Banner. Cherubim have recently purchased a five octave Marimba II (Bergerault), which is a very exciting development for the trust, especially as we know how valued our Marimba One has been since its purchase in 2008.
Alec is a very worthy recipient; they have been a member of the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain for 7 years, and this year won the percussion section of the Katie Ogden competition. Alec has also been the Principal Percussionist of Youth Brass 2000, Warwickshire Wind Band and Coventry Youth Brass Band, and they are applying to conservatoires to undertake a B.Mus. in Percussion.
