Bethan is working on her Grade 8 flute. She is in year 8 at Llandaff Cathedral School, having been awarded a music and choral scholarships, where she plays with the schools senior orchestra, intermediate orchestra and senior flute choir, usually on piccolo: though she is unable to meet weekly due to her chorister duties. Bethan is also a Grade 7 harpist.

As the youngest player in the Gwent Youth Wind Orchestra, Bethan performed with them last year at the Royal Albert Hall as part of Music for Youth. She has auditioned for both the National Children’s Orchestra and National Schools Symphony Orchestra on flute, and has been offered a place as a harpist in both. This year she hopes there will be opportunities for her to play the flute too.
