The Cherubim Music Trust helps young musicians take the vital step from talented student to a career in music by loaning professional quality instruments, which it purchases with the aid of public donations.

Cherubim's Successful Appeal

Great news! Cherubim has just raised more than £17,500
for 3 new instruments for 3 talented young instrumentalists.

Eddy Hackett
Marimba

2004 BBC Young Musician percussion finalist, Eddy has just graduated from the Royal Academy, and is heading for a Masters at Manhattan School of Music. He is currently on a six month contract with Southbank Sinfonia.

Cherubim has been able to provide him with the use of a 5 octave marimba commissioned from leading Californian maker Marimba One.

Bing Bing Li
practice piano

Also a student at the Royal Academy, Bing Bing came to the UK from China at the age of 13 to study at the Purcell School. Now 21, she has since won over a dozen competitions and recently played in the Messiaen Festival on the South Bank.

Cherubim is provided her with a baby grand for home practise.

Third instrument – a decision will be taken shortly on the third instrument to be purchased.
